DIY: Spray Painted Sandals

Saturday, June 20, 2015

I've recently really been wanting some sandals. I saw some at Charlotte Russe, but I didn't really like the color. I decided to put sandals on my impulse buy list and to search around online for a little bit to see if I could find anything. I wanted to buy the ones from Charlotte Russe and just spray paintthem, but I was worried that I'd ruin them and my money would go to waste.

Thankfully, one day at Goodwill I found some sandals (FOR ONLY SIX DOLLAS)! The only problem was they were orange. Naturally, I bought them with spray painting plans in mind, and it wouldn't matter if I ruined them because they were super cheap!

   materials
painters tape

step one. cover the parts that you don't want to be painted with tape.
step two. spray the paints with one coat of paint and let them dry. spray them again with another coat or until the desired shade. (I had a little difficulty getting under the buckles until I sprayed them up close and personal.)
step three. spray some paint into a plate. use a paint brush and paint the tiny parts that were missed under the tape.

(I honestly don't think I ruined them.)
